Pine Paws
Premium Pet Care Serving Southern Maine
Policies
If I arrive within the scheduled arrival window and can’t access your home (no key/code/door access) and I can’t reach you, it’s considered a No-Call/No-Show.
-
No-Call/No-Show visits are charged in full.
-
I’ll wait up to 10 minutes and attempt to contact you via your approved communication method.
-
If access still isn’t possible, the visit is marked complete for that day and I’ll move to the next client.
This policy protects the schedule and ensures other pets don’t lose their time.
-
I totally get that life happens. That said, last-minute cancellations impact my route and income.
-
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged 50% of the visit price.
-
Cancellations with less than 2 hours’ notice are charged 100% of the visit price.
-
If you’re sick, stuck, or something blows up—just communicate ASAP. I’m human, not a robot, but the calendar still has to work.
-
To keep things organized and avoid lost messages, Pine Paw Adventures uses one primary method of contact per client.
Preferred methods (choose one):
-
Text message (fastest for quick updates)
-
Email (best for schedules, invoices, longer details)
What not to use:
-
Instagram DMs / Facebook messages / random apps = messages get buried and can be missed.
Response timing:
-
During business hours, I usually respond same day.
-
If I’m actively on walks or driving between clients, there may be a delay—I’ll always reply as soon as it’s safe.
-
For day-of changes (access issues, urgent schedule shifts), text is required.
-
Because Pine Paw Adventures runs on a live daily route (traffic, weather, and the occasional “my dog found a mystery stick” moment), visits are scheduled within an arrival window rather than an exact minute.
-
Your visit will arrive within a 30–60 minute window of the scheduled time.
If anything major shifts the route, I’ll send an update as soon as I can safely do so.
